Unfortunatly i don't have a photo.
But I saw plants today in the woods that looked like daylillies. They were growing wild, had pink flowers and smelled nice.
they were growing in the woods in Indiana.

They could be "ditch lillies;" they'll grow in lots of places. Unfortunately, without a picture, it's only a guess. Perhaps if you go back for another walk, you can take a camera along :-)

It is possible that they actually were daylillies....people have lived in Indiana for a long time now, and maybe someone simply planted some there....I think you could judge that by the size of the flower....if small: wildflowers, if large (say 3" across) they are transplants from someone's garden ...

Most likely you saw tiger lillies, very prevalent in the north east. Just for fun here are a few more places you can look to ID your beauty
