I love the band AC/DC. but what does there name mean?

it means "alternating current/direct current". electrical terms that dont mean much anymore. it also meant "bisexual" (alternating/direct. you figure it out). but the band took the name off the back of a radio that said ac/dc, and im pretty sure the radio was straight.

AC refers to alternating electrical current.
DC refers to direct current.
This is the loudest band I hear heard. The sound was so loud it actually distorted in my ears.

I think they chose a band name like that because they wanted a name that would symbolize power, in that "alternating currect / direct current" has to do with electricity.

Alternating current/direct current its a way of tranforming electricity from 240v down to something that you can use in appliances (eg laptop, mobile phone etc)

Alternating/direct current. Bandmember Angus Young saw it on a sewing machine and it was too late for them to change their name when they realized it was also slang for bisexual.
