i was just wondering as it is supposed to be such a top secret base and it would be rendered useless by an internet offer

I've just looked , just type in area 51 and it takes you straight there to a patch of desert and then there are a load of buildings to the left. It's really clear, all you can see is loads of white buildings and loads of cars. Doesn't look as exciting as I thought!!

Areas 46 and 47 are about at the fringe of the current Google Views.

Put it into Google maps don't need to have Google earth installed...and takes you to somewhere....but is it area 51???

yes, check out the nuclear bombs/ explosions features on google earth. 90 odd percent of the detonatons have happened there.

Haha, my class in school did that once, we got a call from some people (forgot who) telling us that if we did it again we would get fined. But, you might not have the same treatment.

Yes, but you have to know where to look so you can pan over to it.
Look for Groom Lake, Nevada.

Your only seeing what they want you to see.. Google earth has guidelines to follow..

you can see the runways and a few buildings . i checked it out a few months ago.
