well yes when im talking to my mom she just goes yes... mmhmm.... really?...thats very nice.... and i want to shake and scream ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME? OMG!

yeah... some of my best friends are relatively ditzy, and its hard to have a real conversation with them when they're not even paying attention... its like when you actually have something important to say, no one really cares. The most recent time this happened was bout a week ago... i made a ductape wallet, and i made it have perfect seams and everything was so perfect and it took me a good 2 1/2 hrs, and THEN i made designs for it that i created myself out of plastic paper type stuff, and the cuts were so small i had to use an exacto knife, like i made a heart w/ a skull, and on the back i made a key w/ my initial K in the middle as my sort of signiture, and in total the design took me about 3 hrs i think? so i spent a good 5 hrs making my wallet, and i lined it w/ electric tape too so it'd be black, and it was the most flawless one i'd ever seen... and no one gave a ****. Most of my friends didn't even think i'd done it, or just thought the designs were stickers i'd put on it, and no one actually cared. It kinda sucked, having worked all day on something special to you, and having no one even want to see it, b/c to them its nothing special. I mean, it doesn't seem like smthing like that should get to me, but it does, and no one really notices.
what's ur story? you haven't told us :) i'd be glad to listen...

There is one lady at work "Grandma Ellen" who doesn't listen at all. She'll be telling me about something, pause, so I think she's waiting for a response. As soon as I get one or two words out, she starts talking again. I just sit there quietly and let her talk. Sometimes older people need to talk.

mostly they don't
hmmmmmm, usually its kids yelling or demanding attention, cell phones, distractions, TV, etc.
I often feel like people expect me to be Bipolar and crazy, since I used to be, and I haven't had a chance to even chat for an hour with many people, due to life demands
so sometimes it feels like they won't allow me to be more than just a crazy person

Sometimes I feel like I'm invisable, and what I say or think doesn't matter and it drives me nuts... Even when I fill out paper work it always (no matter what) gets lost. It's really starting to pisss me off...

Well, my pet peeve is children who aren't in car seats and/or seat belts. And no matter what you say, a lot of adults just don't listen until it is too late!

they listen,but they often fail to understand the seriousness in our talking....
it's always gud to have A good listener as friend

I can insult my brother when hes watching tv and he either doesnt mind OR he just wont listen! lol

People don't listen, they merely hear you and then wonder why communication is down.
