If we are talking after the famous Brittany and Katie..go Katie. I wouldn't name a dog after Brittany.

Katie is pretty (I assume you mean Katherine but call her Katie?), but Brittany is so overdone. I had 5 Brittanys in one classroom last fall. Plus, picture her at 75, living in a retirement community, wrinkled with white hair ... and named Brittany. That is a child's name, but children grow up and become adults with children's names.

No offense intended to all the Brittanys of the world!

If I have to pick one then Katie's a fine name, but why would anyone want to name their daughter any variation of Brittany these days with that train wreck namesake running around? Plus it's soooooooo overdone.

Brittany and Katie are nice names, but there are far too many girls in the world with those names. Besides, when I have a child, he/she will be given an Arabic name, my fiance and I have decided.

Salam!

I wouldn't use Brittany because it's one of my niece's names and it was one of those names that was really overdone. I like it but wouldn't use it for that reason and due to all the negativity with Britney Spears.

I've always liked Katie and had it on my list as Kady or Kadie instead.
