You will be getting an average of $1 tip per drink you serve. Some will tip less or none but some tip more. Figure you will get at least $200 per night in tips. The IRS knows this, too, and your W-2 will reflect that for tax filing purposes.
The best servers get the high rollers areas where $50 tips are not uncommon. Like everything, you have to work yourself up and be the best person for the job.

Most casinos don't start the new girls at the high roller sections - those are for the waitresses with seniority. The new servers do start at the nickel areas or lounges -but if you work hard, you can make decent money. I know someone who worked at the Rio and could bring in $1500 a week in tips.

With youngsters and the mess you describe, i might start up at 20% and bypass up or down from there. For a place like Denny's, the place the food is low priced however the youngsters are merely as messy, $10 or perhaps $15 on a $30 examine would not be too plenty for effective provider. i do no longer suggestions tipping as much as 50% on small exams for effective provider (which youngsters on a nasty night must be), yet above $50 or so i do no longer think of I immediately tip greater effective than approximately 30%, in spite of good provider. regarding pooling suggestion: Does it remember no remember if or no longer they do pool? in the journey that your waiter is remarkable, would not the pool deserve the top merely as much because it merits a low tip for detrimental provider?

Some of them "Pull tips" which means all the servers split the tips. I wouldn't work at a place like that. Because if a few of the girls are lazy & you are working your butt off or have a customer that really likes you, you still have to split the tips.

If there is "bottle service" you will make 300-400 per night.
If not, expect to receive $1.00 per drink. (Could translate into $200-250 per night)

They earn every penny. Unlike bartenders, I have only met a minute % who weren t worth their weight in gold. They work much harder than bartenders who are usually arrogant and feel the world owes them a living!
