There are several different types for each time of the month. If you have a lot and it is very wet, then you are approximately 2 weeks away from your period.
* Just after your period, there is a dry phase for 3 to 4 days when no mucus is clearly visible
* Slowly, with the ovulatory phase approaching, the mucus will start to appear as a white or creamy liquid. If you touch this mucus, it will easily break if you try to stretch it between your fingertips.
* As the days progress and your body’s estrogen levels rise, the mucus will get thicker and secrete in more quantities though it may still be creamy
* As you approach ovulation the mucus will appear thin and watery like raw egg white. When you stretch it between your fingertips, this mucus may stretch for several inches before breaking
* This particular mucus is the time when sperm can easily enter through the cervix and fertilisation may occur
* Within a day or so, the egg white mucus may again become creamy or white. This will tell you that the previous day was the peak day when you had the highest chance of getting pregnant.
* As your period approaches, your mucus will again become lesser and lesser as well as in appearance
I hope this helps.
(Sorry, it didn't occur to me that maybe you'd never had a period. I had this same thing happen for the couple months before I got my period the first time. It is completely normal, but there is no real way to predict when your period will start. This though at least tells you it is coming, so keep some pads or tampons with you now, so you won't be caught out as I was!) I also recomend a menstrual cup instead of tampons or pads- they really cut down on cramps, cause less waste, and are easy to use. Check, http://www.divacup.com/ and http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/ for lots of great info about them.

You sound perfectly normal, it's just puberty.
Discharge is the vagina's way of keeping itself healthy and clean. Most girls will get there first period 6 months to 2 years after they start having discharge, so yours might be just around the corner or you might have a little while to wait yet. It would probably be a good idea to get some pads now so you are prepared when it does come. Keep a couple in your locker at school or in your backpack. If the discharge is bothering you, you can wear a pantiliner to keep dry.
If your discharge ever causes itching, is thick and clumpy (like cottage cheese), has a really bad smell (like fish) or is a weird color (like green) this is when you need to see a doctor because of infection. Anything else is normal.

Have you ever had a period at all? I know that when i was younger, i got that type of discharge right before i started my first period. Most likely thats what it is..... just keep an eye on it, make sure that it doesn't have a fould odor(sometimes that could be a bacterial infection) and just relax.... i think your ok.
good luck =]

you could try webmd.com on the symptom checker and see if you can specifically narrow it down to something..
Its normal to have discharge though. If it itches or smells bad you could have a yeast infection though.
you should maybe go to your doctor. or just get an over the counter yeast infection treatment and see if it stops.

for me it only happens for a few days and a week or 2 before my period. If it has been lasting this long continuously you should see a doctor.

you probably have an std known as trick, trichomoniousis (not sure of spelling). It is not harmful and rarely painful but it does cause excess discharge. Men who have it never even know they do since it has no symptoms for them. If you are not sexually active, then you could just be one of those few who have extra discharge when they ovulate. My advice, see a professional.
