My friends have stopped me from leaving in the past, and I am grateful for that. However, should things come to a point where I simply cannot stay any longer; nothing will hold me back.

Often people will hold on because they are worried about something. Maybe they are worried their kids won't be taken care of, or that their spouse is also sick. People will hang on for important dates, anniversaries or holidays, etc. Some will hang on to make it to a certain age (maybe they want to make 90, or 100). Some just need reassurance that it's ok to let go.

Love has always been the factor that holds me back and keeps me from moving forward. If there's love....it's hard for me to let go of it and just move on...if there isn't any love then moving on is easy...memories might be there...but memories are designed to fade, love isn't.

My Job. I'd love to move somewhere else, but my job is here. Maybe when I retire I'll move.
