A friend of mine and I are doing a duet for a dance recital. We want to do a glow in the dark dance with just our hands and feet glowing, but we need a black light. What size black light would we need in order for our glow in the dark paint to show up?

Interesting idea. I don't think it needs to be huge, especially if you position it close to where you dance. You might want to use 3 of smaller lights instead of a really bid one. It will give more uniform lighting. The one that I have is designed for a living room party, it's about 1.5 ft long, but I don't remember off hand how many watts of power it takes, which is a lot more important. I think 3 of those will do the trick. Sorry, i can't go check what kind do I have, I don't have it here.

Also depends a lot on the material of the gloves and socks, or on the quality of the flourecsent paint. With fabric, pick really white, or really bright yellow. I think those will be the brightest.

Your outfit sounds perfect but DO NOT use any highlighter on your eyes. That is super dangerous. You can get neon nail polish and eyeshadow so do that. You could also put your hair up or in a side braid and use long neon shoelaces to braid along with your hair and tie in a bow on the end. That would be cute!! : } btw, Walmart has the neon shoelaces in their shoe department. They probably have the neon eye shadow and nail polish, too.
