removing wallpaper also removes sections of paper from wallboard and also the 'mud' that was applied to covber joints of wallboard.

there is nothing you can do......I hang a lot of wallpaper and run into this many times,,,,,scoring a wall can make it worse.....I believe the reason this happens is the walls were not primed......when this happens to me I just put joint compound over it and sometimes "kilz" it but other than replacing the Sheetrock there is nothing else you can do.......

Score the walls first. A bottle of liquid fabric softener with warm water and a sponge works just as well as store brand removers.

theres a product that you spray on and leave for a few minutes and wall paper just slides off, sorry cant remember what it was called but works, also if wall paper isnt sticking very well warm water soaked on works as well, tried it as run out of the spray

use a wall covering stripper with warm water and a sponge diff works well apply the diff and warm water with sponge to the wallpaper let it soak in for a few minutes and remove with a scraper knife very easy

I use "dif "from home depot. I really like it.
