I think you're confusing 'lazy' and 'liberal'. Just because both begin with the same letter, they do not have the same meaning:

1. because your parents are not liberals, and believe in instilling a work ethic, which will result in your future survival.
or
2. Your parents are typical, hypocritical liberals, who only want to take the handouts, and don't want to give them. I guess you are too old for them to claim you on their welfare.
