yea dont let it go to your head to fast..trust me i know the ego that lead singers get....play some donation only gigs around your town and give half the money to a charity, cuz the more ppl on your side the better...dont even worry about demos right now cuz unless you got some serious cash its better just to practice, and keep getting better

You should become a New Wave band. Get some synthesisers and rock on. You can dress all flashy like Duran Duran and make music videos about Hollywood and the glamour life. The chicks will love that stuff (much more than being into heavy metal or grunge). Have the standard New Wave dance beat and bass-line. Act like a straight Morressey (from The Smiths) up there on stage.

1.Make sure you find dedicated musicians to work with. That may be hard at 15 years old.
2.Practice as much as you can and get your sound perfected once you have formed your group. Its embarrassing for the player and the listener if you give a half-assed performance.
3.Copyright all the music you write.

Cover songs pay the bills, original songs may get you a recording contract. Get used to a lot of "no's" being said to you when you try and get gigs, but never get discouraged. It is a tough business, but pursue your dream.
