If you installed the piston backwards, the ring end gap would get stuck in one of the cylinder ports.
But that should've happened right away.
If one of the pins on the piston broke off, one of the rings would spin around on the piston and get stuck in a port.
You could have run out of injector oil, or the oil pump stopped working, or the oil line came off and the top end seized.
Whatever caused the problem, remove the cylinder and check out the top end.

put the bike in 5th or 6th gear and try to roll it see if the motor turns over at all if it does then there is nothing wrong with the top end that is locking it up something in the trans maybe. because the head gasket is copper u can reuse it so maybe pull the head off and see where the piston is and see if it moves look for scaring on the cylinder walls. If you have any other questions email me i have worked on many blasters over ten years motorcycle mechanic

Did you remember to put oil in it? It sounds like it's seized.

take it apart again and find the problem, your gonna have to anyway. If your smart enough to do a top end how come you ask a STUPID question!!!
