How many of your know or realize that most of what you are paying for gasoline at the pump is taxes?
How many of you know that what is post as the taxes you are paying at the pump is only a small fraction of the taxes you are really paying:
Here is some taxes you are really paying:
Oil is taxed at the well head before it ever leaves the ground both state and Federal taxes.
Oil is taxed at the storage tanks as soon as it is pumped out both state and local:
Oil is taxed in pipe lines to refineries! Both state and federal:
Oil is taxed each step of the refining process: Both state and federal.
So by time it is all said and done oil companies are making less than a dollar a gallon gross! Out of that they have to pay wages and invest in new wells and new equipment and repairs to existing equipment:
How many ever thought about that?

For all those who say there is nothing we can do about it. What we can do is hold congress and state governments accountable for all the hidden taxes they are so fond of passing.
Then ask ourselves if I was a H.R. manager would I really trust that person with the company's money when deciding who to vote on in an election.

You know.....I hate all the things you've stated but I need gas to drive my car......I don't live close enough to things to walk....so driving is it for me.

If gas was $10 a gallon and it went straight into the devils hand I would have to buy it.....that for me is the bottom line.

It doesn't matter, it's a natural resource, their only investment is to bring it up from the wells, refine it and transport it. All these oil tycoons wouldn't be tycoons if their profit wasn't as big. If it's a natural resource, why does it go up?

This will teach many. Good.
Most do not know what they are paying for.
I knew this as I associate with oil people.
Unfortunately, no one can do a thing about it.
