I didn't go to prom because I was in labor. But if I would have went I would have went with my husband at the time. What became of him I divorced him and moved far away from him!
Stayed married for 14 years.

My prom date came out of the closet a couple of months after our prom and after that he moved to LA and we lost touch. Now I just heard a couple of weeks ago from running into an old friend that he's a VP for Sony Music in San Fran. It's crazy where we end up in our lives.... :)

It was just before the stroke of midnight and Big Ben was getting ready to strike. I happened to look down and remembered that it would only be a matter of moments before my golden slippers reverted back into the muddy golashes I wore while doing farming chores. I was in the arms of Prints Charming during our slow dance together. (His name was Prints Charming since he was editor of the school's newspaper and president of the photography club) With a sudden gasp, I said, I must depart! I broke free from our embrace and ran from the school as fast as I could before Big Ben struck the final 12 count. On my way out the door I tripped over someone's science text book and my left golden slipper flung into the air and landed in the principal's office.
I never knew what really happened to Prints Charming after that time. But, the next day, my golden slipper was discovered in the principle's office and several rumors were going around that he and I had something going. Suddenly my grade averages started going up , from a 0.3 average to a 4.0 and higher. But there was magic in those golden dancing slippers and to this day, that golden slipper is behind a glass showcase along with several other trophies. Do you think after all these years I should really reveal the real truth behind that golden slipper? Or, let the legend of the golden slipper be as what it is?

We didn't have a prom just a commencement night and didn't go to that either. Would have gone stag if there was one as I had lots of cool male friends I would have danced with...unless they were cheesy enough to get a date and try to score at long last.

Her parents wouldn't permit them to go to the prom because they knew me , I lived just across the street . Then they later had an arranged marriage and became fat and ugly as did her identical twin whom I was going to take also .

I married him at 17 and divorced him at 37. The irony is the one I was supposed to go to prom with is the one Im married to now.

Which one? My first one is married to a Dentist and works as a dental assistant/receptionist in his office in the suburbs of Chicago. My second (someone set us up, because I didn't want to go originally) is somewhere between here & there, whereabouts unknown. The third (and final) one is happily married and living in the same area we both grew up in Illinois.
