Pour about 8 oz. of vinegar in, turn it on, let if pump about half into the carafe then turn the coffee maker off. Pour the contents from the carafe back into the coffee maker and let sit for about 30 minutes. Turn pot on and let it all pump through. Discard and fill the carafe with cold water and pump through again.

If you have a severe buildup it may require you to repeat the process.

I don't like putting chemicals in my coffee pot.

Take a jug a regular vinegar and fill the coffee pot. DO NOT TURN IT ON YET.

Let it sit for a couple hours. Then turn it on. REPEAT.

Then put through bottled water to clear it out - (twice).

From then on, try to use distilled or bottled water to help prevent mineral build up.

Coffee will taste so much better too.

Enjoy.

Run a white vinegar and water solution through it a couple of times and then run it with just water a couplel of times to rinse the vinegar taste out of it.
