Anyone pls can refer me to good lodging hotel or hostal in Madrid, close to city center, w/ bathroom in room?

I need something moderate price but clean and well located in city center area. We are two friends traveling so it would be double room.
Also in Barcelona...same kind of lodging.
We are traveling in mid November. What kind of weather do we expect??
