I hope I have the same kind of great marriage my parents have. They love each other and are always kind to each other. My father made a huge mistake many years ago which I remember because of the fighting they did in the house! But I also remember that after the storm was over, my father changed. My mother was like one of those gates made of iron and she would not bend or be heated like iron in the heat of the forge, she knew my father loved her and she kept her feelings for him in place. It must have been terrible for her. She would start to cry anywhere we were. I knew she always thought of my father no matter what. They didn't tell me what was going on but it was obvious what it was. I used to start to cry with her and i mean even in the grocery or at the pharmacy or wherever! I was a baby but i knew whatever it was had to be like a mountain between them. He was distant and would hardly even look at me anymore. He didn't hug me anymore. He didn't smile at me anymore. I can still remember how it hurt.
When they finaly came together again in their hearts, it was magic. And that is why marriage is worth it. I know from church that God said only God is good. So it makes sense to forgive other people their imperfections. Repetition of mistakes tends to mean to me anyway, that someone is so removed from real life that they don't care or comprehend how much harm they do. that is serious trouble for marriage. So it is best to really know someone before you mary them. You will have children with them. If someome is a repetitive cheater always blaiming their cheating on others , then the children will suffer deaths of the heart and will be just like them.
It makes me sad sometimes to look at these questions in these rooms and see people don't even try to think. Very sad. I hate that people can be so selfish that they don't think about the possibility of children coming along and what harm their bad behavior may do to the children.

Science has shown that marriage actually extends people's lifespans. Wish I could remember who did the study.
Marriage doesn't kill, but it's still definitely worth the chance. You might not like marriage, but you never know... you might find out you DO like it.

Living alone, being lonely, being a hermit, living in a little cave in the middle of the wilderness doesn't kill either, but why should we take a chance on that?
