The most expensive Meakin plate currently at ebay has an opening price of $9.99, and the least expensive one $0.99. There are no bids on any Meakin plates listed. Not one.
Unfortunately, there's very little market for collector's plates. Most retail for pennies on the dollar, compared to their original cost. If you like it, or it reminds you of someone, or someplace, it's probably worth more to just keep it.
