Under Bush and Cheney billions are unaccounted for.
Watch the documentary, " Iraq for sale: the war profiteers".
Yes, the government does have that much power.

Political puffery was necessary to distract Americans from all the chicanery going on in the world. Clinton's sexual dalliance with another consenting adult was the perfect
cover-up. It was the Republicans' way of 'getting even' for the Watergate investigation that brought down Richard Nixon.
Now we're being distracted by an insane, unjustifiable, unconstitutional, illegal and immoral 'war' designed to make a handful of the wealthy elitists in this country even wealthier than they already are.
Politicians don't see it as taxpayers' money. Until we the people stop such idiotic runaway spending, politicians will continue to squander and waste it all. -RKO- 08/12/07

Isn't it sad that sex, a cigar and a stain on a dress gets more? Clinton was a Democrat. I say it's sad it's sad that our priorities fund these things. I live in a Democrat state.....hard to think they'd fund plants by a viaduct but not fund road repair. Sad to think a sports figure or actress makes more money than a Dr. or nurse or some profession that meets our basic NEEDS for survival. Sad to think Paris Hilton gets more TV coverage than executions of innocent kids get.

No question our priorities are totally wrong. Has nothing to do with Republicans or any other party.

Yes, I know the numbers. But it's crazy. I still can't believe we spent that kind of money investigating a president's sexual life. 9/11-everything is secret-national security and executive privelege. No amount of money would change the fact we will never know. We'll never know the facts about JFK either.

The question is why we give them this immense power?
