Well it's a little hard to tell but I try, it's opening day and a batter hits 2 for 2 his batting average is 1.000 another batter is 1 for 2 his batting average is .500 Hope I helped and you understand.

You take the number of hits and divide them by the number of at bat which give you the batting percentage.
