how many ginea pigs do you think i shuld get 1 or 2 what ??

well you should get two so the other one won't be so lonely and it be able have a friend and play with him or her!

I had a guinea pig and its hard work! I would get 1 but its up 2 u. When u decide tell me because i got a website where i have animals for adoption and im going 2 put guinea pigs up. All I need is the location. ok and ill email u the site and we can kepp going from there

Everyone is saying two. From experience, get one!! They are prone to guarding their territory and will fight to the death for it. Thats if you buy the same sex--they consider each other competion and will fight for the space that their in. But if you buy a male and female, you can keep them in the same cage, but you must 'fix' at least one of them-or both would be better so the other ones hormones aren't racing and will leave the other alone. Their small rodents, it shouldn't cost too much. Guinneas are loners, like i said 'territorial', they like being alone. As long as you handle him frequently and feed him a variety of foods (some veggies WILL give him diarrhea or wet tail---check with vet or look it up in a book), he will be more than happy in his 'OWN' space and lots of affection from you. Trust me on this!!!!

Get 2 (if i were you I would put them in the same cage so u only have to clean1cage but watched for them mating
