If you don't trust someone then you have to move on, but there are worse things such as the one in the relationship who is the controller. That really sucks when the two are not equal. We are human beings and all trustworthy to a degree but not 100%. I mean, sometimes I don't trust myself if I really really want something I should not or can't have. We all have a weakness. Can you trust your weakness? Her issues are too complicated for you to get involved. You may say the wrong thing so I would just avoid the situation. It can only get you into trouble.

Personally I do not think you can have a real relationship let alone marriage without total trust on all sides.

Why exactly are her marital problems your business?? This is a problem with women. We get too involved in other people's business. If she wants to help herself, then she knows what she needs to do - go to counseling. If she doesn't want to help herself or her marriage, then there's nothing you can do. And quite honestly, it's not your concern. If she's complaining to you then you need to be up front and tell her that she needs to help herself because there's nothing you can do for her.
