Help me with the logic here. Its o.k. not to pay taxes and ask the government for grants to provide services but then they don't want to deliver those services?

The churches used to fill the role that the government now does, yet they are still tax emempt and are grant eligible. I don't understand?

Because the "church" is anything BUT non proffit. It is one of the larest money making forces in our country.

Since churces make money, and social programs cost money. Why would any reasonable republican suppor social programs at the epense of losing valuable church money?

Having a bit of a hard time with the premise of your question. I think what you are asking is "Why do some people thing that charity from churches are ok, and government social programs are not?" Though I did not realize that non profits were "Republican run". Anyway, the difference between churches running social programs and charities running social programs is that when you give money to a charity or church, it is voluntary. When you see the Salvation Army guy at Christmastime, you are not compelled to give him anything at all, you can refuse if you want. When the government confiscates tax money from you, you have no choice except to give it, and let them do whatever they want to with it. Furthermore, I would guess that many people do not feel that charity is a constitutional function of the Federal government. We could have a whole other discussion about the tax-exempt status of churches and other charities. this may well be a type of six of one, a million/2 a dozen of the different issues. the two significant events run up debt and taxes. Republicans even have an prolonged historic past of buillding out of control social welfare courses and Democrats like their beef besides. There are actual better than adequate events. the great 2 garner lots of the attention and votes.

Well churches fill a very important role in our society, and they should be tax exempt because they are non for profit. and they do have a lot of social programs which are run correctly not like our government run programs.

Social programs are paid for, by the government, with our tax dollars. It is socialism. Republicans and churches do not use the power of government to steal tax dollars from me. If I want to contribute to Republicans and/or churches, I do. Tax exempt for legitimate reasons is all right with me. I am fed up with governments in the US taking money from people then wasting it.

Have you not noticed that the Republican Party, which was respectable, for the most part, just 40 years ago, has become INFESTED with ignorant, hypocritical, hateful, and bigoted losers of the RRR Cult... the "Religious" Radical Right?

Republicans do not believe that social programs are bad. The ones that benefit them are fine.

In addition, Democrats have no problem themselves running non-profits.
