What does a Producer do/ has the right to do?
What is he in charge of, or what does he do.
Can he put himself into one of his works?

The producer pays to have the movie made. The producer makes sure the director has everything he needs to make the movie without going over the budget. Yes, the producer can be in the movie he produces. Lots of actors produce partly the movies they're in. Others, such as the loud mean man in the original 'Night Of The Living Dead', decided to play the part himself to save money from having to pay an actor. Since his performance is considered 'classic', I'd say he had to right idea :-)
