Providing he isn't incarcerated for financial irregularities or just being a knob, I think Galloway might just take this ward. He is already appealing to the anti-war and homophobic elements of the constituency in poplar and canning town, by making heavy weather of Fitzpatrick's record on voting for the war and gay rights. Whatever can be said about Galloway, there can be no doubt he is the king of the opportunists!

He supports the "Mugabe of Venezuela Chavez" and he said to a listener on a phone on programme referring to recent immigrants "these people have come here to live they are as British as you or I"

He called Sir Menzies Campbell a "walking corpse" on the same programme ( I don't support liberals but that was a typical nasty Georgeism) He boasted on his phone in programme he has "plenty of money" and he owns a house in the Algarve which must have been paid for out of his MPs salary. I predict they will catch him out soon

Quite right, I agree with what he said in the Senate but that is his cover, there is more to George Galloway than that. Never think that because you do not support the war in Iraq that you must support Galloway.Galloway seems vehemently against the indigenous British people for some reason
