A salesman at Best Buy told me he and his friends played the Wii for about a month then stopped because they were bored with it. If so, which game system should I get for my nieces, 6 and 11 years old. Sony, Xbox, Nintendo for the TV??, etc. (They already have GameBoy)

The Wii is not boring, it just depends on what type of games you like. Wii is very kid-friendly, and the games are simple and innovative. The system, while it classifies as a next-generation console, is somewhat underpowered when it comes to screen resolution and graphics, but it really is a whole new way to play.
Right now, the Wii is suffering from the same thing that's plaguing all next-gen consoles...lack of quality games. Of course, it's still new, so the outlook for future games looks really bright!
For a 6 and 11 year-old, the Wii would definitley be the best choice. Xbox and PS3 (while greatly more powerful) are expensive, and the games are more complicated and generally for more mature audiences.
Trust me, you can't go wrong with Nintendo Wii.

I have Wii Sports, which came with the game, and I admit this can get boring once you play it for a LONG time, so I only play it for an hour every week. If you have a lot of games, the Wii probably never gets boring. I want WarioWare, or maybe Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I would get them the Wii. Thats the most suitable system for their ages and gender. The other 2 systems are designed for teenage boys wherea the Wii is designed for all ages and has many games that girls like.

I'm 10 and i hav'ent played my Wii in about 3 weeks lol...It does get boring after a while as long as your don't get stuck on games.(ie:LOZ Twilight Princess)

the xbox 360 , the nintendo ds and the ps 3 all of them are the best consles that i liked it so much
