Aaron is a Hebrew name (He was Moses' brother in the Bible.) Erin is a name for Ireland. They aren't male/female variations of each other.

As for the names I would choose Eric over Erin for a boy.

Eric/Aaron for a boy and Erin/Erica for a girl. I like the spelling of Aerin for a girl.

I like Aaron and Eric for boys, Aaron is more my favorite. Erin is for a girl, im not too fond of it.

My daughter is expecting a baby and if it is a boy it will be named Aaron, if a girl she is trying to figure out a female spelling like......Aaren or Ayron. or Aaryn Aaronne
