Here's what might happen:
IF the Republicans feel they have to remain in power due to circumstances at the time, another staged 'terrorist attack' will take place (this time in the Midwest, perhaps Chicago or St. Louis). Bush will then be ordered to declare martial law, claiming that a change in administrations would not be in the best interests of the country.
Expect this to happen by late summer or early fall, 2008.

IF, on the other hand, Republicans believe the worst economic depression in the U.S.A.'s history is about to collapse the country, you'll see a mediocre attempt at winning any Congressional or Oval Office positions. They will let the Democrats win in a landslide, who will then be blamed for the depression, and which will allow the GOP to come back strong in 2012 to remain in power for decades. -RKO- 08/12/07

The president of the US wanted the 9/11 to happen...then he had a reason to fight back...the story fight back only if they through the first stone....

The US blamed Canada for letting the fellows into the US...funny thing is that US has border patrol in Canada...and you have pass through there first before leaving Canada...

The black out....who was responsible...wasn't Canada that the US blamed and then they swept it under the carpet when they realized that the problem was created in the US....

Remember the Kennedy murder...the conspiracy in that...

Nixon...hmmm....wasn't there something there....

It is strange that you forgot what has happened within your own boundaries...

It is time for the US to clean up in there own back yard before they try to clean up the world.....

no it is not. It goes against the constitution on the elections happening in leap year and also the lame duck amendment on getting out a president once the election's over.
