Do males and females have different 'natures'? If so, what's the difference?

Women are known as the gentler sex because they bring to humanity virtues like compassion and the nurturing side of our life.

Men bring competitvenes, risk taking and the bolder aspects of our life.

Women tend to go by the letter of the rule/law. They want detailed step by step instructuions. A recipie for everything you could say. They learn by rote generally, this being why abstract concepts and subjects the deal with them are more difficult for women on average than men.

Men dislike rules, responsibilities and regulations. Yet they proliferate them just to demonstrate the conflict in nature men experience. Men tend to want to fly by the seat of their pants.

A great example you bring home something that needs some assembly.

Women read the cover, go get the tools the instructions say they will need. If they do not posses all of the tools they will go out and purchase or borrow the tools before they start.

Men open the box, look at it and start putting it together. If they need a tool they will then go get it unless it's something they figured they'd need from previous experience or was handy and just wanted to use regardless of whether it was actually needed. If they don't have the exact tool they'll improvise or construct a tool to do the job as often as not. Worse comes to worse out comes the duck tape. As a last resort men generally read the directions.

This demonstrates the different thinking. A male cop pulls you over you are likely to get an interpitation of the law that very much encompasses the dynamics and the mitigating factors. A lady cop pulls you over it's black and white. You either did or didn't do it. Male cops are more likely to abuse thier power and enact private vendettas, prejudices and other ideas/ideals. Women cops are very likely to be ultra proffesional unless angered. Then all bets are off.

Women are much better in touch with the sensual world than men who prefer the practical. Women love mystery and to be tantalized. Men just want to either enjoy the hunt or the prize or both but have no love of the details.

Women tend to be more detail oriented and introspective. Men tend to focus externally and be oriented toward the big picture. Women plan everything. A man's plans are either to check with his wife/gf/secratary or to make plans hours or a few days ahead by fuzzily blotting out a period that will most likely be best.

So the nature of women is very much one half the Yin Yang that is humanity. There are of course lots of exceptions to all the generalities I spoke of before. People are people and they adhere more or less to gender stereotypes. There are men who'll stop to ask directions, just the majority won't, just as there are women who will drive like a typical man and orient herself rather than want a specific roadmap to a location. The majority do not.

Women crave security the way men crave freedom. Yet a woman who feels crowded will feel repelled toward those she percieves as crowding her. Women are the glue of society. Women tend to take responsibility very serious and are often compulsive about tasks and duties. Men are selective about responsibilities but tend to be the most fanatical when they take a duty to heart.

A world without women would be very chaotic but amazingly precise. The trains would run on time, be ugly as sin but have lots of gadgets on them.The seats though would be cheap, have no cushioning and might be missing completely or broken. The trains though would never be malfunctioning for long.

In a world without men the trains would never be on time but nobody would miss the train either. They would be soft, luxorious and highly visually attractive. They might not run half the time but nobody would care.

Women tend to focus and analyze relationships between living organisms. Women celibrate life. Men tend to analyze abstract concepts and concrete mechanics and are often surprised by life as they pay little attention to it unless it's methodially studied for a purpose. Analyze = purpose with a man while women will analyze without any specific purpose or goal aside from analysis.

The core nature of all human beings though is to fit with one another. That is to bolster the weaknesses of those closest to them and to have their own weakneses bolstered by those same people. So we find in our perfect mates a perfect match of strengths and weaknesses. Yin and Yang in other words. That balance that is life.

This goes back to the same age old question - is it nature or nurture. Males and females are born with different physiology including different hormones. These result in some basic differences - but the real differences we see on a daily basis are all culturally based. We are socialized to behave in a male or female way from the time we are children - most of that is not our "nature"

Yes. The difference is mostly hormones and their physical anatomy. The female brain functions differently than the males. This, in turn, affects how the female/male does things, their very nature. While neither can ever fully understand the other, it is in human's best interest to attempt it.

the differences?
well...
lets try physical ..(appearance)
the testosterone in men makes their faces develop much further. generally, giving them, bigger noses, bigger more defined jaws, facial hair, definite bone structures.... i could go on.
yet women ...dont have these features. and they tend to have softer facial arrangements.
men also have -greater upper body strength, build muscle easily, have thicker skin, bruise less easily and have a lower threshold of awareness of injuries to their extremities... which we can all relate to.

Women have four times as many brain cells (neurons) connecting the right and left side of their brain..
Men rely easily and more heavily on their left brain to solve one problem one step at a time..
which explains our multi-tasking.
Women tend to be intuitive global thinkers.. meaning we think for others, take everyones opinions into account (making us more affectionate and understanding)
yet that other rather attractove (to myself) species known as Men tend to focus on one problem at a time or a limited number of problems at a time. also, not taking others into account... and not understanding their feelings..
Women are great at recalling information, and generally have better memory skills (like remembering bdays)
and men..... well... i think we all know.. they not very good at that.
