Why do people keep saying that Canada doesnt really count becuase it isnt a real country anyway. What does that mean? Is it because of unofficial colonial independance or something? And what outher 'countries' arent real ones?

Canada did not USE to be an independent country; but part of Great Britain. But it became independent. So it is now and has been for quite some time. It is a real country. In fact when the leaves are off the trees I can see it. :)

Hello,

Canada is listed as a real country alright. The problem is that it went too much into multiculturalism which perhaps is good for cultural and race relations but she lost what little identity she had before over this. Other than a Frenchman in a classic log cabin spitting on a wood stove or a RCMP guy in a red uniform (now only worn for ceremonies) kissing his horse and singing "Rose Marie" there is next to nothing in defining what a Canadian is unfortunately.

Cheers,

You are very wrong and have false comment. Canada is a country. do not depend your knowledge on other people who are ignorant about the history of Canada. To be sure, study your lession on the History of Canada and there you will obtrain the best result.

I have no idea what you are talking about actually. Most intelligent people realize Canada is a country, and not a fictional fairy land where Santa's elves make maple syrup on their time off.
