Distance makes the heart grow fonder or Distance makes the heart go yonder?

It can work either way because you could spend 2 weeks away from somebody and realise that you didn't miss them being there, which would weaken your feelings. OR the nicer alternative you could spend 2 weeks away from somebody and realise how much you missed them and want them in your life, which would strengthen your feelings! :-) Really does depend on the personal circumstance because each relationship will be different!
In my experience distance strengthened my feelings, because all the beautiful memories that had been created before were spinning around in my head, which made me temporarily blind. Oh, and the distance? A continent!

Either depending on the situation but I think that if you are truly in love then distance can make the heart grow fonder.

They both can be true. I think it depends on the person involved...if it's true love, distance makes the heart grow fonder!!

I think both statements are true in my case ,
And in my opinion spiritually, time /distance /physical/mental/
nothing should make any difference as if your heart is true you can cross all barriers and be as close as you want to the person where you want /when you want /how you want /what you want and that person has to be accomodated in the space in your heart forever .Noshir.A.

My partner is away working and I am loving ever minute of it, the freedom and peace. However, I have times I miss him desperately.
So I think both statements are correct.
