im a BCA 5th sem stud from BIT,Mesra.i got placed @ TCS few days back through campussing .i am also taking my prep. 4 my MCA entrance xam.but rght now im in double mind. what should i do?should i go 4 the job or MCA?after workin 2 yrs im ready 2 do my MBA/MCA.but will work exp. matter more than degree or not?kindly help.

Certainly you should go for the job. In IT work experience matters more than a degree.

While working you can do MCA by correspondence or part-time.

If u plan to do a masters degree abroad then this is the best option. U can save money for the University fees (in case u dont get fellowship the first year) and your experience will waitage to your application considering the application from freshers.

TCS is good to work with. Two years of hands on experience will teach you more than a course. It all depends on your approach to work.

As you yourself point out you can go for the degree later.

If you are worth your salt and show stick-to-it-iveness, TCS itself will further your aims.
