If you did, do you remember any guests in particular? I clearly remember seeing my heart -throb, Andy Gibb singing I Just Want to be Your Everything! I used to love to watch the Merv Griffin show. I guess it was kind of like the Enterainment Tonight of the time.

Yes! I most definitely grew up watching, "The Merv Griffin Show" when I was a little girl. I remember seeing Christopher Reeve on the show, as well as a very young Tom Cruise. Merv Griffin was a wonderful man. He will be super duper sorely missed.

i wasnt alive when his show was on but I enjoyed the shows he created like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Jeopardy was always my fav to watch and I was actually really good at it. Wheel of Fortune is a blast to. When I was a little girl, I would play the games on my computer and it developed my love for trivia and puzzles.

He was wonderful with tv ideas and made the mint he deserved doing it..and no one held his being gay against him..which is like wow, why since so many homophobes dis the regular folks...was it the money ya think that made him untouchable or maybe having a Gabor as his beard? I am not putting him down..he was a great talent just wondering why he was above the prejudice..and sorry he didn't come out and help others like himself.

Yes I really enjoyed him even when I first saw him on his daytime talk show back in the 60s. He always treated people with dignity and respect no matter who he had on his show and also all throughout his life. I will miss him.
