Yes, but not normal dimmers, you have to use a master/slave combination, Lutron and Home Automation make these types, amongst others.

No, not to control the same light...think about it: if 1 dimmer is turned down or off, the 2nd dimmer can't turn the light 'up' or on. You can have 1 dimmer as one switch and a 3-way as the 2nd switch IF you have the 2 switches wired for 3-way operation already (red, white and black wires).

You cannot have two ordinary 3-way dimmer switches to operate the same light. One can be the dimmer, the other is just off/on.

You can have as many switches as you want to control lighting. If you need to control it from 2 locations, then you need to install (2) 3-way switches. If it is more then 2, say 5 locations, you would install a 3-way switch at the first and last location, and install (3) 4-way switch between those.

plain jane is right. . having a two way dimmer is pointless as if it was turned down at one swtich then when you turned on the other switch the lights would not come on. but the answer to your question is yes if you want.
i dont know where the 3 way switching come from but if you need it then you will need a intermediate switch

Controling different groups of lights-yes.
Controling the same group of lights-yes, however, if you want them to react properly you'll need them 3 way combination, 1 master,1 slave.

Sure you can.

Some of you need to think about what a "circuit" is. A "circuit" can feed the lights in many rooms.
