Make 4 boxes/bags: keep/ throw away/ give away/ and not sure yet.
If it's something a friend or someone else can use, it goes to give away. What friends don't use goes to thrift. Throw away is broken, ripped or just plain trash. Keep goes back to your room and not sure goes into storage. If you don't need anything in the box over a particular time ( 1 month, 1 year, you decide) it can either be thrown away or given away.

Figure out a place for all the things you use regularly, and keep them in the same place. If you put them back every time you use them, you can keep your room clean.

Good luck!

make a list of things that are used often and whats used less and not used at all in that order, throw away things that are not used.like clothing that you can no longer wear or that is out of date.what nots and things that are taking up space.you maybe able to donate them too a church or a salvation army that would be nice and make you feel good, also you can redecorate your room using a certain theme,Hawaiian, rock star, what ever your into, cleaning is fun if it's for a purpose.the most important thing that makes a room look clean is the floor.always have a clean floor, and only allow so many things to be on your chest and dresser, don't put too much.Good luck.

Many blessings.)

Well start by sorting through clothes, any ones that don't fit or are old/tatty/out of fashion, get rid of.
Put them in a carrier bag and take them outside ready for the bin, that way they don't get in your way.
Then sort out any desks or surfaces.
Bin any rubbish, junk, old work which you no longer need.
Only you know if you're going to need it in the future!
If it is something like a book, keep it, you may feel like reading it later.
Keep stuff if it is either sentimental, or you've used it in the past 2 months.
If you very very rarely use it, like once a year, chuck it.
Then sort out any draws or closed away compartments and shelves, again sort by sentimental and things you've used often.
Then sort out boxes under the bed, just pull everything out and then again sort through them.
Oh, before you start get anything that is on the floor off the floor and shove on the bed to be sorted out last, any clothes that are on the floor go and put into the washing machine right before you begin.
Once you have tidied, vacuum, dust and then change the bedding, open the window to let nice cool air in ( Even if it is rainy / cold )

Anything that you haven't use or needed in the last three months, throw it out or have a garage sale and make some money for it. Remember the saying "your trash is always, someone else treasure".

Take it one step at a time, or it can be overwhelming!
Maybe start with your closet. By cleaning that out first, you will make room for other things you need to store in there. Make a rule...like, "I don't need more than 10 pairs of shoes," or "I don't need more than 10 skirts." Come up with a number that you feel comfortable with that you think will still fit in the closet and stick to it. Then you can allow yourself to pick that number of items to keep. You can get items that will help you organize your closet and keep it organized. Invest in one of those shoe organizers that can hang from a hook on your closet door. Then they don't pile up on the floor of your closet. If you have room in your closet, you can get extra shelving or clothes-hanging rods to put in there. Anything that you want to keep, but you are not using on a regular basis, store in plastic bins and put up on the top shelf, out of the way. Another thing that I do to make more room in my closet is that in the summer, I put my winter clothes away in the basement until I need them. Then in the fall, I take them back out and put the summer ones away. This also gives you a good chance to assess what you have and what you don't think you are going to have a use for anymore.
Then you can move on to your dresser, desk, or anywhere else in your room where you have stuff stored. Designate certain drawers for certain types of items. Like one drawer is for makeup, one is for hair products and hair accessories, etc. You get the point. Throw out papers that are meaningless. If you're one of those people who has a ton of phone numbers written down on little scraps of paper, take them all and put them on one piece of paper, or enter them into your cell phone.
Finally when you are all done, ask your mom if she would like to have a garage sale. She may have stuff to get rid of as well and it would give you a chance to earn a buck for all of your hard work. Then go through everything and decide what's worth selling and what you can donate to Good Will. Box everything up and mark the boxes "sell" or "donate."
Good Luck!

all u ve to do s very simple...
1.first clean up ur bed and bedspreads so tht they r wrinkle free. this ll give a new scene of ur room to u. don ve too many pillows in ur bed.
2.jus throw away the unnecessary things like old ones(if u don ve heart to throw .. jus put over the loft)
3.put ur dresses in the hangers and hang it inside ur cupboard. folding and keeping the drsses one over the other ll be very easy to scatter all the suits in a very few days
4.have separate racks for everything like ur accesories, ur dresses(good dresses separately and the house uses separately)
5.jus broom ur room twice in a week.
this is how i keep my room neat and clean.

i would get some of those plastics totes and seperate things first, then have another one on the side as you go through them and put in that one what you think you want to keep.i have done this , now all i have to do is go through them and throw out some things or give them to charity.sometimes i have to make myself throw out stuff.(HA HA HA)
