It's not expensive at all, they come in little boxes and they cost I'd say between 2 and 3 bucks... You can find it almost anywhere, I usually get mine at wal-mart but even grocery stores carry em too.

Rit dye is one of the most commonly available. You can buy it at most K-Marts or Wallmarts, larger drug stores, like Longs, Eckerd's or C.V.S. and it is available in most supermarkets. It will probably cost about $3 or less.

Any good fabric store, chain drug-store or grocery should stock it.
My local Long's Drugs had it listed at $2.49 (USD) for a 10 ounce bottle this morning

You can often find it at Dollar Stores or any fabric shop.
Be sure to wear rubber gloves when using it though.
It will colour anything it gets on.
