In our backyard there are some green berries. But we have no idea if they are poisonous or not. They are small about the size of a thumb nail and almost look like they are in clusters.
Any Info?

Look on the internet and try to identify the plant. Your description is so vague it could be almost anything.

Here's a link to some common dangerous plants.

Until you know for sure, consider them poisonous. My first thought is a member of the nightshade family. Maybe you could post a picture? Snip the plant and berries into a plastic bag and take them to the Extension Service office........immediately. Don't touch the plant or at least wear gloves. Don't let them cook in the car or sit on the counter for 5 days. Fresh samples are easier to ID than cooked, moldy samples.

They will darken and turn amber, red or a dark purple when ripe. They could be raspberries, blackberries, or one of many others.

Lantana also produces green berry like fruit which turn almost black which seed easily to spread the plant. But I never heard of them as edible.

Go to some online nurseries and compare the leaves and flowers to what they show, and the growth habit.
