2. to be unwilling; dislike: I hate to do it.
–verb (used without object) 3. to feel intense dislike, or extreme aversion or hostility.
–noun 4. intense dislike; extreme aversion or hostility.
5. the object of extreme aversion or hostility.

Christian churches tell their parishoners about themselves and others, that if you don't swear and know that Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, then you go to some eternal damnation whether you were a nice and good person or not!

Folks, we are talking infinite torture here by their definition. They claim that if you don't do what they tell you to, you will be separated from God forever! What more hate could there be? Who could be taught to wish you more abandonment/hate than that?

coragryph, based on your analogy, the crime would be theft of the right to pursuit of happiness because Christians tend to promote Christians. People in business are looking for a differentiator when the promote and Christian churches give money to students to study if they are Christian. So there is an earthly opportunity loss effect, which is produced by hate. This oppression of the non Christian produces resentment and resorts to crimes which are considerred hateful but which are revenge for the mistreatment of the oppressed non Christians! Sometimes the scene is murder or other physical crimes. Which group claims more culpability based on their study of the Bible and what book is used to swear in witnesses? Certainly, Christians, if they could but look at their advantages, and dig for their compassionate nature, would find themselves culpable for this hate!

We are talking religious prejudice that non Christians are not worthy of as material life as Christians!

coragryph, The victims of the crimes I am speaking of, the theft of opportunity in life, stolen from the non Christians who represent a silent majority of logical reasoning that is larger than the priviliged money changing Christian group for sake of a mythological unproven belief!

nikolasraage The crime part is theft of opportunity! And you could start with all the money given to students of parents of Christian churches and not given to those who are not Christian. The opportunities in their parochial institutions for learning that are tied to the belief system that if someone cannot stomach the belief system, they have to listen to the bull at the same time they learn, if they can afford the tuition on their own. Most cannot. So as this snowballs, the Christians take all the top paying jobs and opportunities and can justify it in their minds that they are more worthy because Joe schmoe is going to eternal damnation anyways.

I am gonna say theft here. But it could carry over into many other physical crimes that are done in passion from the revenge of the hate, including the terrorism committed on our WTC from those who were brainwashed to hate us because they think all Americans think they go to eternal hell for not being Christian!

Mike, I for one would like it to be a crime to say that someone will be excluded from society or eternal pleasure just because they claim that Jesus sinned on earth. It is abominable to me that people could consider Christianity to be our Savior. I find it has limited many in this country and has pushed mythology on people and oppressed people that are not a part of it when the only crime those people did was to be honest, something that most Christians are not capable of. And so the non Christians suffer from theft of opportunity to the tune of billions! You think that is right?

2007-08-12 06:02:56 · update #4

Hex, your redemption idea is not free. First thing you ask people to do is to lie and say that they know something that is up in the air! Even you don't know! So why would you tell people that you do? Christian churches tell you to lie and they lie cause they don't know any better, that's why......and there is too much to lose were they to reverse their ideas now! Think of the billions in revenue!
But don't get me wrong. This Jesus fella, from what I read, kinda hits to home from time to time on different issues, those he had healing and tact for. Sometimes he lacked that tact and those were his major sins in my opinion. Those were when he missed the mark of loving his fellow man so as not to have his fellow man want to kill him over a disagreement. If Jesus was one with a Father in heaven during those moments of untactfulness, he would not have suggested to his enemies that they were of their father the devil or going to eternal damnation.

witdfk, Muslims are Christian too in my opinion and perhaps they should also be considerred.

Do athiests have organized beliefs where they gather and use their money to help only their kind? If so they those organizations could be of hate crime also. But the hate of swearing to eternal damnation as truth is very damaging psychologically because fear is brewed into youngsters and they will lie to get privilige. I know, I am a recovering cathaholic from childhood!

But yeah if there are organizations that give favor to religious persuasion and that the government uses their buildings for non religious purposes etc? It is wrong. It is discrimnatory!

And it is hateful and it builds a class of individuals with more privilige or holding on to more privilige from swearing to lies or at least not proven mythology/ thinking it might be truth. And they are taught to keep this process going.

Justanotherone, I thought you should know that it is murder whether or not a person dies instantly or not! If you fill someone's head with hogwash and then they go out and fill another person and so forth, and that hogwash makes these people oppress other people from opportunity that would either keep them alive on earth or enhance their welfare so that they could support others without hogwash and help them survive circumstances here on earth, then you are by proxy murdering those who have less opportunity presented to them as a result of your discriminatory practices and ill fated words.

So yeah, it is murder! Christians and other priviliged creed groups just don't get it, cause they think murder is when you stab or beat a person physically or shoot them dead or something like that! I understand how shallow they can be. I was one once way back til I woke up! Now I have paid the price, having jobs taken that paid more than what I was able to make as a mechanic.

2007-08-12 11:58:58 · update #7

Had I had the higher paying jobs and moved up the ladder, I would have had more free time to spend with my family and I would have been able to convince my son not to do drugs and my daughters not to smoke and eat healthier like I did. I had a bachelors degree in management and four years of appenticeship and other college and 36 years of experience with good ratings, having poured out my energy into that job for years.

But those jobs went to smokers, druggies, drinkers, womanizers, oppressors, Christians mostlydivorcees, people who didn't fit in spaces to do work because of size and people who had affluence from their religious background or nepotism. I guess I didn't deserve it. You tell me.

But my family suffered and I don't care what you say, we all return to the source of our creation, the dust and the image of thought that started this, that we were always a part of. Now you cannot prove me wrong. But the difference between you and me, if you are a Christian, is...

2007-08-12 12:06:00 · update #8

The difference is.....that you will see in your mind, someone who obviously does not agree with what you have been brainwashed in , their soul is destined for hell to you, and you don't trust them because they are not like you, able to swear to a possible lie. And so you make them not worthy to serve with you in any paying capacity! And you will give privilige that you have to others who are like you and their kids to keep it all going!

See I dont have an organization to do that with. I am an outsider, having been squashed like a pea to keep people like you in power. Perhaps someday I will and when that comes, perhaps the likes of you will get a chance to reform yourselves with reason and really learn how to enjoy life properly! Til then, we'll see, if not here, then in the next lifetime, but it will happen. Amen?
I will see you in heaven!

Under the left's PC-thought control, just speaking ones mind will become a hate crime if more Democrats are elected...the 1st Amendment be damned. This is a fact to be concerned about. Not the silliness posed by your question.

You misunderstand the concept of hate crimes (which are badly named, leading to this confusion).

Hate crimes are a sentence enhancement on some OTHER crime because the other crimes was committed with a particular mental state.

The reason hate crimes are considered worse is a function of the mental state involved. Just like intentional murder can be treated as more severe than reckless homicide (manslaughter) or negligent homicide. The more culpable mental state allows for a greater punishment, even though the physical act and result (death of a person) is the same.

Similarly, where a crime is committed based on racial or gender or religious or other prejudice (thus being a hate-motivated crime), the mental state is not merely a desire to harm one person. It's a desire to harm or destroy everyone who exhibits a certain trait. The victim at the time just happens to be one of many who exhibit that trait. Thus, the the victim was attacked not for anything unique to that individual (as in most other crimes) but because the victim was a representative of some larger group.

Ah, the Anabaptist religions..... Any sturdy Anabaptist might in basic terms flow away and form a sparkling sect. striking around and judging the worthiness of others in basic terms isn't sturdy form. the situation lies interior the wealth of the community and the intractability of minute adjustments in dogma whilst it particularly is further to bear on the ability shape of the community. it may desire to look astounding yet in an astounding way this suits Amish justice completely. The Amish, like Hutterites and a few sects of Mennonites and Doukhobors, carry very business enterprise lines on some very arcane dogma yet, being positioned up protestant reformation faiths, the derive the liturgy straight away from scripture so the eruption of disagreements with reference to the stern interpretation of scripture is inevitable. they're, by ability of nature a fractious affair and the extra well-known the ideals, the extra unusual the aptitude habit. As for the argument....this could be a hate crime if the comparable adult adult males centred Sikhs so I think of it may desire to be extremely soundly argued that the intentional destruction of non secular products of well-known magnitude, specific to an identifiable team might characterize a hate crime. So......... ya.

WOW! You are confused. I don't even know where to begin. First of all, a hate crime would be, for instance, a violent crime taken against someone because of their race, belief, sex, etc. If you murdered a Christian because they were a Christian, it would be a hate crime.

Christians do not hate others. Correction, TRUE Christians do not hate others. True Christians know they are not the one to judge others for their beliefs. As a Christian, I do have a hard time with the realization that good people may go to hell, and someone like Jeffrey Dahmer, who found Christ in prison, will go to Heaven. But I am not the judge. When the price of admission to Heaven has already been paid, all you have to do is take the ticket.

TRUE Christians do not pray for the lost to be tortured in Hell. We pray for the lost to find the truth. God is the one who warned us that if we refuse him, we will be refused in Heaven.

Hate crimes are stupid. That's like punishing someone for not liking you.

But anyway, while, we're at it, why not do the same thing to the Muslims? They claim that all non-Muslims will suffer eternal damnation as well. In fact, they even encourage killing the "infidel."

And what about the atheists? They claim that humans are worthless occurrences of chance that have no purpose, no meaning, no soul. To them, we're all just a bunch of animals. Wouldn't you call that a hate crime?

People need to stop picking on Christianity and look at themselves.

You can be the nicest person in the world, but you are still a sinner, and G-D did not send his son for you to ignore, his son died for your sins, he took your place on the cross so you would not have to pay the price, he was the perfect sacrifice a sinless lamb to the slaughter. If you do not want to accept him as your savior that is up to you. Then you will stand before G-D on judgment day and pay for your own sins. Your analogy is ridiculous, G-D's redemption is free and he wants everyone to be saved.

even if you were to convince people that the basis of Christian belief is hate, you still haven't explained the crime part of "hate crime".
