I am a Christian and I am offended also by a few posts because nobody likes to be stereotyped. Not all churches or Christians would act this way. The Pedo ring commented about is the Catholic Church not a Christian church.
This church is clearly not a good example but guess what of course it is in the paper but had a church honored him despite his lifestyle it would have never been in the media. There are alot of bad churches and bad people posing as christians but you have to see them for their actions not just because they call themselves something. My brother is a homosexual and I love him. You will never see the media tell about anything positive when it comes to any church or denomination. This Pastor will have to stand before God one day and be judged. I can guarentee you God does not agree with his actions or any bigots for that matter.
Finally have to LOL because no matter what anyone posts on this board there is always someone that will use it to bash the President. What a chuckle I got out of that.

Hmmm, a Texas Church, where's Bush from again? Oh Wait, that's an argument for another topic!
I have to say, yet another reason that I don't attend a church is because of organized bigotry. If a person want and believes that he has to attend a church for his/her piece of mind, then so be it. We do still have the freedom of religion, or has that gone by the wayside too? Oh wait again, another argument for another day.
When a man/woman servers their country, they deserve to have a service that commemorate them. It is understood that is to be. Mr. Sinclair was a veteran, a human and gay, and no one should care that he was the latter, however they do. Boycott the church, Sounds to me they "offered to host his service" were just looking for a little publicity. Why not? A Gulf War veteran and a free service, I can see that on EVERY local news channel around the area. Why not give them a little more, picket the church on Sunday morning and call all the news shows and tell them what you intend to do. If they want publicity, give them a little negative and see how they like it!

That is awful. He was good enough to serve and defend our country but since he was gay he doesn't deserve the honor? Apparently the church forgot to post that they only hold memorial services for diseased Heterosexual Veterans. They just opened themselves a big fat can of worms.

Churches and church members are the biggest bigots of them all. It's a damn shame that people are still this way. That guy deserved to be honored.

Agreeing or not isn't going to matter today. Gays might feel normal but, I doubt they will ever get any rights. The family should sue the church.

I agree in some ways..although he was gay I believe the church needed to keep on to their word...also the church looked for other services for this man...I think the lady should have looked into services that would take gay people instead of just choosing one out of a hat....The Pastor may have strong doings of their principles...like he said...being gay is a sin..so why would they accept someone who is gay...well I know hes dead but still..the church has morals that they still need to keep up to
