The current administration is floundering.

The current candidates debate issues that may not be of significant importance.

What exactly matters to you, and would want to see brought forward?

Once, when I went to vote, I got approached by someone who was telling me their candidate was concerned about women's issues. So what? Just because I'm a woman, I only care about myself? I am not selfish. I think about education, the tax deficit, the wars in the middle east, I think about less money for Congress, and more money for our servicemen.... And when you write to someone like the governor of your state about ridiculous laws about 15 year old kids can have sex with 17 year old kids he should address it, not tell me it's not his problem... (forward the stupid letter to the proper authorities!!), what kind of backwards law is that? Kids should be taught to NOT have sex, not be encouraged by law. I am interested in so many things that women's issues, which are now a moot point, don't really matter to me. I am educated, I am employed, and paid as much as my male counter-parts. I am treated as an equal by most people.

Do you know that an e-6 in the military with a wife and 2 kids is eligible for public assistance, like food stamps? That is disgusting!! It is embarassing for the country.

No, the politicians are so out of touch with reality, with the human beings who they are supposed to represent, that they do not do what I would think is important.

A good law:: If a foreign entity comes to our country as a contractor, they should be forced to take a course on basic employment law. You cannot treat employees in an abusive and negative way here, like you can in other countries. You cannot just go around threatening jobs, calling people stupid idiots, and cannot get crazed and yell at your employees. And, there should be repercussions for the employer, if such illegal activities goes on, without any repercussions to the employee who was abused.

We will not see a non-floundering administration, no matter who wins.

The American way of life is drawing to a close, and the paid-for-life politicians (and union workers) don't have a clue as to why, when or how this is affecting the rest of us. Well not yet they don't.

A lot of our problems could be fixed, but they won't be, and all signs point towards a hard road ahead for most of us. But not for those that make the decisions for us. Their lives will continue to be pretty great, no worries about health care, retirements, or feeding their children. The exact opposite of the majority of us.

Those in power have gotten very good at playing hide the coin with us. Keep us actively involved in crap that shouldn't even matter (abortion, Iraq, gay marriage to name a few), keep us divided and keep screwing us over.

Meanwhile their lives, and their buddies, just get better and better. Makes me sick.

This is America for goodness sake, we are not supposed to care what the guy next door does with his private life (as long as he is not harming anyone else), AND we are not supposed to be taxed to the point of extinction. Does anyone remember the terms "personal freedoms" and the refusal to pay the king's ridiculous taxes?

We have allowed the government to scare us into double, triple and sometimes even quadruple taxation, all in the name of "protecting" us. What a crock!

Yet, we elect our politicians based on the lies they tell and their ability to agree to regulate our daily lives.

We are a nation of sheep being led by the rich & clueless. And as long as we allow people to continue demanding politicians regulate personal lives and matters, it will only get worse.

The current administration is floundering only in the minds of those who believe the lies.

We need to start focusing on problems at home -- spend less time and effort trying to tell other countries what to do and start cleaning our own house.
