Do you believe that NASA is being forthcoming and has taken enough precautions to allow for a viable repair process? Or are the astronauts going to be staying on the space station for 2 months?

urrbuttistan: did you wake up on the wrong side this morning or forget your coffee? No one else had asked the question! If you had, I'm sure it would have been well researched ....

Unlike many Yahooers, I remember the shuttle explosion. And duh, I know no decision has been made and options are still being explored. But if you think NASA is going to share all with the general public, you are very naive.

yes i do think that NASA has taken enough precautions to allow for a godd repair process as they have repaired these tiles in the past. if NASA had decided that the repairs were too risky to attempt, ever since the Columbia disaster, NASA has implimented a plan that one of the other shuttles would be ready and waiting on standby to be sent up into orbit to get the astronauts from Shuttle Endeavour and would not have to wait for two months to be rescued.

The orbit isn't without postpone over the equator so whilst it somewhat is traced over a flat map you will see it a a curved line. That line represents its place because it strikes north, then south of the equator. The orbit is consistent yet you will see that the line shifts place on each and every orbit. If there are a number of orbits around the earth represented on a single map the strains isn't without postpone over the comparable geographical places. it somewhat is as a results of fact the orbits take approximately one and a 0.5 hours to end and the earth rotates below the gap station so, even although the orbits are the comparable, the earth has replaced place.

This type of thing has been happening too often and I am concerned that NASA is not analysing the problem fully and finding a permanent solution. Each time, there is a lot of tension and uncertainity about the return of the astronauts safely to earth.

What silly questions! How can they be more forthcoming when they are still taking pictures and analyzing data? Even if they gave you results of raw data, what expertise do you (or I or most of the yahoo community) have in interpreting it accurately? Are they staying on the ISS for 2 months? Well last I heard they weren't remotely close to that decision.

More people would involve themselves in community forums like yahaoo answsers if SOO many people didn't clutter them with useless inquiries like this one. You should read more and write less!
