Well, the vote counter was a Romney campaign official and the votes came in 90 minutes late. Whenever the votes are late in an election, that always means 1 thing, election fraud. Romney's even been joking about it.

The fraud may have been in the vote count, we may never know.
However lets look at some facts that have shed some light on the whole Ames straw poll.
Romney spent millions advertising, busing voters to Ames from all over the state, possibly paying the $35 dollar election fee, and giving away free food by the ton.
47,000 plus live in Ames, according to my road atlas, & over 193,000 in nearby Des Moines, but only a little over 14,000 voted.
So, in my opinion, you would be correct in saying Romney, "Bought" the victory.
Apparently, the price of Gas in Iowa is so high, the price of the trip to Ames, for free food & a $35 voting fee was un-compatable for most Iowans. Therefore, Romney's bussed in {35 busloads-2,000 + people?} were really free loaders willing to sell their vote for a free meal......SSSHHHHHEEEEESSSSHHHHH!!!!
