Will a AT& T conncect card work and be better if he needs to use the internet at college which is a couple hours away?

a wireless route does have an area where the signal will work, but it is a small area, usually the size of a persons house where it will work.

Most colleges have a wireless network that you can connect to on your laptop with out the need for that card/

the maximum rang of a normal home wireless network is about 250 yards. providing there is no big obstructions. at a college they have busters so in that case there is no problems using it there...
