Ha, that's funny. Look up 1940's music and there are plenty of songs from their time, with compilation cd's available for a party like that, if you don't already have something hanging around your grandparent's house. No matter how old a person is, music is always enjoyable. I would go with motown, music from the 60's (chubby checkers era)... and you can NEVER EVER EVER go wrong with the Chicken Dance and Hokey Pokey, both of these dances can be done sitting down too!!!

the 40's WW2 classics and big band swing, then some 50's pop and throw in some 50's doo-wop. That should take care of it. My parents are in their 70's and thats pretty much their tastes.

Wll Elvis, Some Beatles, Roy Orbitson, Cretance Clear Water Revival would probally be your best bet...and any old songs that were popular...

i would suggest early big band music from the 1940s or go for the early 50smusic
