If a vehicle is parked in front of your home on the street and there is no posted signs "no parking". Is it illegal to park on the street in front of some one's home? Virginia Beach Virginia

No. If there is parking allowed on the street, and the vehicle is legally parked, then the fact that it is in front of your house is immaterial.

However, there may be a maximum length of time a vehicle may remain parked in one place, check with your local P.D.

was this perhaps in a gated community? if on a public street with no other posting prohiting signs it won't matter other than fussy neighbors, but if in a gated community there may be regulations concerning parking in front of someone elses home. Police don't get called to handle inside of gates to handle these infractions to the gated by-laws.
What does the ticket say why you were charged? it has a reason on it. Have to have more info.

Look at the curb against which they are parked. If it is painted either yellow or red, they cannot park there. But, there MUST be some type of notice that they can't park there before you must pay a fine. If you have been fined, go see an attorney, and take photos of where you were parked with you to your consultation.
