Bonds was never charged because it would have been bad for baseball. Home runs and the excitement of the record chase sold tickets and made MLB major cash. You can go all the way back to the McGwire/Sosa 62 HR chase...same deal, good baseball. They knew they were doing it as well as a lot of other people, they chose to turn their cheek to keep the cash flowing. That's my opinion anyway. It is a mute point anyway, because Barry's record will not stand as long as Aarons did. That asterik will be removed from the record books in several years.

Why is this even a obtainable question? the significant's that Barry Bonds. the 2nd he hits #756 might have hit extra residing house runs then the different participant in significant League historic past. whether he has used overall performance-improving drugs or no longer ( i individually think of he has) will have no consequence on that. The checklist e book is only that - a checklist e book. there is no room for judgment in it. 756 residing house runs is extra then 755. human beings can argue this till the top of time, however the significant's that once the recent version of the checklist e book comes out next one year, Barry Bonds would be listed because of the fact the all-time chief in residing house runs, with Aaron 2d and Ruth third. And in spite of what happens after that, whether Bonds fails a drug attempt, whether he overtly admits to utilising the medicine, he will nonetheless carry the checklist. many everybody is comparing him to Pete Rose. while Rose became placed on the completely ineligible checklist, his archives weren't removed from the checklist e book. he continues to be the all-time chief in hits. the comparable holds real for the contributors of the Black Sox. Bonds checklist will stand till somebody breaks it - era.

Let's see,
Albert Pujols won one last year (and if you think he's clean, you're out of your mind)
David Ortiz won a couple years ago (You think Bonds was skinny as a rookie, go see how Ortiz has bulked up in the last 10 years)
Luis Gonzalez won in 2001 with the D'Backs (You remember, the year that a guy who had never hit more than 31 HRs suddenly had 57)
Or how about Gary Sheffield with the '97 Marlins (You know, the guy who admits that he took the "Clear" and the "Cream" but didn't take steroids becuase he never took a needle in the butt)
Yeah, Barry Bonds took some stuff. But things like HGH weren't even illegal until a couple of years ago. So everyone get off his @ss. If taking steroids made you that good, wouldn't everyone have 758 HRs? He was one of the best 5 players in the game before the steroids. Remember the 3 MVPs that he won by age 28? And that would have been 4 in a row if it weren't for the ridiculous 1991 MVP that went to Terry Pendleton.

You must've been asleep for the 2002 World Series. Bonds was DOMINANT.
He went 8-17 (.471), 4 HR, 6 RBI, 8 runs and 13 BB in 7 games.
Obviously not his fault the Giants choked.

Lot's of great players in many different sports haven't won titles and it has nothing to do with them as an individual. You can only go as far as a "TEAM" takes you. Even Jordan had teams, he didn't win all six NBA Titles on his own.

I agree with Don. This is blown out of proportion. He was not proven guilty of the steroid allegations. But dont forget, even if he did use steroids, that dosn't make him able to boost his hand eye coordination or his ability to CONTACT the ball.

Winning a championship requires a team effort. There's only so much any one player, even someone as dominant as Bonds has been, can do to get there.

Bonds has always been a post-season choke artist. The only exception was 2002 when he was at the height of his steroid binge.
