I have a Linksys WRT54G v5 with firmware DD-WRT v23 SP1 Final (05/16/06) micro. I have not noticed an improvement and quite frankly voice quality has gone down the tubes. I also use a voip test at this site http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip/ and the results are always low qos%, can these sites deliver true results?. What are the best changes that I can make to improve voip. I was also thinking about connecting the Hawkings broadband booster at the same time to see if that helped out more, is that even possible? Someone please help me by explaining the best config settings.

Reset it and re-configure. Set an admin password.
You may have been hit by a script that writes it self to the router. These scripts are not viruses as they do not replicate themselves. They can completely make the router inoperable until it is reset and re-configured.
Best way to protect the router from this is by setting a password on the Admin login.
