Yep, it really does appear that the BB folks strongly influence what goes on in the house. For example, before last week's eviction, they strongly encouraged the houseguests to keep Eric and not evict him. And then a couple of nights ago, they told EvelDick that they wanted to see more 'Evel' out of him so the next morning, he literally turns that whole house upside down.
This is making for a very unpleasant season, imo. This group of houseguests is the worse yet, imo. There isn't a likeable one in the group at all. :(

I think so because even though I don't get the live feeds and watch, I go to www.jokersupdates.com and people who do watch the live feeds do updates so you can read what's going on. I've read that Amber doesn't cry as much as they show her crying on TV (which seems like its every minute of every day non stop) and I've also heard that prior to the last eviction, BB was calling the houseguests into the diary room and in a round-about way trying to convince them not to evict Eric (America's Player). I've heard they've also done that on past seasons as well. I also think that they do POV competitions which favor a houseguest if they are on the block and BB doesn't want them to leave yet......Yes, I think they "fix" things and give impressions of people for ratings.

From watching the 3 hours daily of live feed on Showtime this year I see first hand how editing gives network only viewers a totally different look at these houseguests. I always thought they did it to make the show more interesting, not to make us like someone more or less since we can't evict anyone.
I would never have thought they interfered or gave them info on other HG until all the reports last week about diary room sessions. With both Jessica and Amber saying they were told favorable things about Eric, I have to think CBS is trying to keep him in the game. Now I know why they are not supposed to talk about their DR sessions.
The season is not doomed if America's Player is voted out so I don't see why CBS would jeopardize the reputation of fairness by doing this. He is such a weasel that I feel he has to be related to someone at CBS. If Julie Chen is married to the president, maybe he is a nephew.

Season One BB US was horrendous because viewers chose who was nominated. It became a pathetic popularity contest. Rumor was they nearly canceled the show mid season. I believe BB took a lot of the advice and comments of its fans to heart because the very next season was much different. Now, except for the America's Player, who we've never had before, the viewers NEVER have a say on the events inside the house. And the votes made to tell the AP what to do really hasn't done much (if anything) to change the game. MAYBE it has affected that player himself (Eric) slightly. But he doesn't HAVE to carry out the wishes of the voters. But for every instruction/challenge given that he carries out, he earns $10,000.
Yes, I feel confident the editing process has always greatly influenced popular opinion about any particular player. They love to "create" an enemy for us. But I usually end up rooting for that person anyway. He/she becomes the player we love to hate. You know? Anyway, that player is usually the one who keeps the house rocking with controversy, which makes better viewing.
I strongly urge you to email BB with your opinion of the show. Give well thought out constructive criticism as well as tell them what you like and wouldn't want changed. I may be living in a dream world, but I truly believe the fans saved the show here in the US.

Well, its definitely edited a certain way if you compare the live feeds to the actual aired show, however, as far as I can tell they don't interfere that much in the game except for announcements that come over the speakers that tell people to put on their microphones, etc. That is why I don't understand the conspiracy theorists who are saying that BB rigs the game or tells people how to vote, there is nothing that suggests that in the live feeds.

Definitely. There's no telling what the say in the diary rooms, because we aren't allowed to listen in.
Julie Chen spoke the answer aloud the same time Eric gave the answer in the HOH competition. This made them redo the question, which made Eric not win. You can't convince me that someone who has had this job for 8 years would make such an amateur mistake on accident.
For the POV competition, I heard someone say they made it rock and roll themed. They did this because Dick is on the block and he is a rock person. They wanted him to win the POV, but hopefully he will save his daughter and still go home.

This year I have to wonder who paid for the plane and banner that flew over the house when Nick left. They have screwed up the America's Player plan by not allowing Eric to vote his own choices for eviction. You can watch, just go to CBS.com they have entire shows available to view.

I know you are not asking me...but it must be the same there.
I imagine all BBs work off the same principle...Once they know who THEY want to win...They cook up everything to ensure their winner.
