The weapons of mass destruction were undoubtedly the "Axes of Weevils" reported by Dubya and Blair to their respective governments. Although individually small, the axes of weevils exist in such humongous numbers that, should the weevils ever get really ticked off,(sorry, no pun intended) the world wide destruction would be virtually instantaneous and almost impossible to guard against except by planetary pre-emptive weevilcide.
Just look what termites can do without axes!

If you are referring to the Iraq situation, they were commonly believed to be similar if not identical to the nerve gas used by the Iraqi government on the people of northern Iraq (the Kurds) back several years ago when they opposed the exploration and mining of that area to obtain uranium ore for the nuclear program. That nerve gas existed, it was used on a civilian population, and people died.
Also commonly believed to be chemical weapons similiar if not identical to those used during the Iran-Iraq War. Iraq made widespread use of chemical weapons to disrupt Iranian attacks on their defensive positions, causing large numbers of casualities. Those weapons existed, they were used, and lots of soldiers on both sides died.
So it stands as a fact that Iraq once had effective weapons of mass destruction.
Once they were given notice that they would be invaded, and that if any WMDs were found that the world, the UN, and the United States would be very very angry....what do you suppose they might have done with them?
Kept them around with big shiny signs saying "WMD RIGHT HERE"?
Or maybe they stashed them away somplace, or sent them over an international border to a friend's house so nobody would find them?
Which is the bigger leap of faith....that they just plain vanished after being so useful and available for so many years?
Or that they left town ahead of the people who were looking for them, so they wouldn't be lost for good.
You seem to be such a smart person. You decide. Would you let yourself get caught with the goods if you knew you would be searched, or would you do something about it?

There are many weapons in many countries... where there any particular weapons or particular countries that you were curious about?
Assuming you mean Iraq -- yes, we found some old chemical rockets left over from the first Gulf War 15 years ago -- and some older chemical weapons that the US had sold to Iraq in the 1980s.
Because they are chemical weapons, they technically count as WMDs. Including the ones we sold them.

If you mean the Iraq ones that never showed up, they were a whole mixture of biological and chemical weapons. Very few, if any were deliverable because the Iraqi airforce was non-existent and Iraq didnt have the resources or time to convert the warheads into artillery or car bombs. Either way, they never existed or are buried well in the desert and have never been found.
Saddam had a proven record of using chemical weapons and the coalition in both wars biggest fear that large numbers of our troops would die in gas attacks.
Huge training and exercises in NBC kit were conducted, and in the desert that stuff is like being in the oven with your sunday roast. Previous experience lol.

Code name Bush. After the Revolution in Iran in 1979 the USA supplied Saddam Hussein with all sorts of weapons, (including poisonous gas which he also used against Iraqi citizens) to help him make war against the Iranian enemy.
Presumably the USA thought he couldn't possibly have used up all the supply.

Biological and chemical weapons. You said "if they existed". That is what the WMD's were supposed to be. Oh yeah I almost forgot. It is a proven fact that Iraq did have WMD's, and that they used them on their own people (Kurds) and Iranian soldiers. I guess Saddam didn't want to be caught red handed when we came in. There is a lot of desert in the Middle East and Syria.

they did exist when Saddam was given chemical weapons to gas the Iranians when they were at war, and it was alright then apparently, cuz no one complained, so when they couldn't catch bin laden they were like hey! why don't we say Saddam still got those weapons we gave him and go after him instead, and we can even get their oil, talk of killing two birds with one stone

Tell that to the Iranian troops that died due to the use of these illegal weapons.
And tell that to the Kurdish Iraqi civilans murdered when Saddam used them in Halabja.
We in the west knew what Saddam had as we sold him a lot of his weaponry, as did the USSR and other countries.
